Foggy Night
Fancy Work ~~ Foggy Night Pretties Twinkling Around You
Fancy Work is a term used in the past to describe handwork (usually needlework) created by
a lady. These items were sometimes personal, often for the home and frequently given as
gifts to family and close friends. They might have a practical purpose such as a fire-screen or
chair cover; but, just as often, they were created to be enjoyed as attractive objects whose
presence gave pleasure to the creator and the observer.
Foggy Night Fancy Work is a collection of jewelry made from vintage parts and findings but,
whose design foundation is no more complicated than the desire to be pretty and give
pleasure to wearer and the observer.
